Outstanding brass and iron double full size antique cast iron bed. This iron bed style, which is done in a high gloss white baked on powder coat,
matches D507 which is done in pewter. Large castings equal a heavy weight, so this bed will hold its own in any room. The white color makes
it look light and breezy.
Features great design with big ornate castings. In one of the close-up pictures, you will see the marks left by the original sand casting.
They may look like black spots, but are really indentations from where a gas bubble formed during the cooling process!

This cast iron bed was handmade before the First World War ended the era of iron beds. The start of the war meant that all iron was diverted towards
the war effort. After the war, similarly styled beds were mass produced on assembly lines and were constructed from aluminum a metal that was much
lighter and easier to work with.
If you are using this metal bed frame with an extra-long full double mattress, let us know and we will lengthen the rails to accommodate the fit.
These longer rails would also take a queen size mattress, but please be aware that your box spring would overhang the edges by 3” on either side.
We supply side rails and two cross supports.
Bedding and accessories not included.
Headboard: 62"; Footboard: 44"; Width: 54"; Drop: 14"
